Hey love bugs!
I’m LaDeidra Williams, the proud founder and visionary of Lambda Upsilon Xi Sorority, Incorporated — a non-collegiate sisterhood dedicated to uplifting and empowering women ages 25 and up through grace, glam, and greatness. I also created our youth division, Legacy Lilies, for girls ages 5 to 17, to help instill self-worth, scholarship, and sisterhood from an early age.
I’m a proud HBCU graduate of Benedict College, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Development, and I hold a Master of Science in Leadership from Grand Canyon University. My educational journey fuels my passion for service, mentorship, and legacy-building.
Originally from South Carolina and now thriving in North Carolina, I’m an entrepreneur who blends leadership, creativity, and purpose into everything I do. Whether I’m mentoring women, developing new initiatives, or creating safe spaces for sisterhood and growth, I lead with intention and heart.
When I’m not building empires or pouring into my Glamour Girls, I love to dance, sing, travel, and explore museums. Culture, connection, and community are my love languages.
As the original Glamour Girl, I lead Lambda Upsilon Xi with elegance, power, and an unshakable commitment to excellence. Because let’s be real — in heels we hustle, and in gold we reign.

I am an experienced educator with over 21 years in the field, currently teaching at a middle school located in North Carolina. My passion for education has driven me to earn two master’s degrees in Educational Leadership and Curriculum, and I am in the final stages of completing my dissertation for a doctorate in Educational Leadership.
As the Literacy Director for my sorority, I am committed to fostering a love for reading and lifelong learning. This dedication extends to my work as the founder of “Butterfly Effect Literacy (BE LIT)” -a literacy initiative designed to empower communities through academic, financial, and parenting literacy programs. My goal is to create readers across the nation and ensure that literacy becomes a tool for success in every aspect of life.
I finally finish the process of founding a non-collegiate sorority, with the help of my other founding sisters , our plan is to expand nationally. In hopes to further my mission of promoting literacy and community empowerment.
Originally from Chicago, IL, I now reside in Fuquay-Varina, NC, where I continue to make an impact in education and literacy advocacy. Through my work, I strive to inspire, educate, and empower individuals to reach their fullest potential.
Carla Grier

I’m Carla Grier, and I currently reside in Georgia. I’m a proud mother of a beautiful, intelligent, and driven daughter, and I take on many roles in life. I serve as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserve, study biological sciences at Arizona State University, and have experience in EMS, just to name a few.
My purpose in this sorority is to create a safe and welcoming space where everyone can be themselves without fear of judgment. I strive to be more open than the ocean and as transparent as glass, living by my words and values. I want both current and prospective members to feel the same sense of belonging and support that I do.
Words like “sister,” “sisterhood,” “grace,” “fierce,” and “queen” hold deep meaning for me—I don’t take them lightly. If I call you my sister, I will treat you as one. I feel truly blessed, grateful, and excited to connect with my sisters. More than just being a role model for my daughter, I aspire to be a source of motivation and inspiration for others, just as my friends have been for me. I can’t wait for this journey together!
Tiffany Shepard

Hey Yall!
I’m Tiffany Shepard, and it’s a pleasure to get acquainted. I currently reside in North Carolina, but I was born and raised in Virginia, so the DMV has my heart.
I’m a self-taught MUA and nail tech in my free time, but by profession, I’m a scientist working in a laboratory. I’ve competed in and won multiple pageants, with my most recent title being Miss Congeniality. Now, I spend time networking and coaching prospective pageant queens, helping them shine their light just like I did.
Within this sorority, I proudly serve as the Creative Mastermind and Director. My goal is to make sure everything we do is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also radiates sass, elegance, and that eye-catching wow factor. Whether it’s apparel, content creation, visuals — you name it — I promise, I’m going to slay it.
I also want both current and prospective members to feel seen and heard, and to see their voices reflected in our designs. I hear you, and I’m listening — I promise.
Because let’s be clear:

We are more than just a group of women who came together.

We are sisters.
We are family.
We are leaders.
We are businesswomen.

Lux Sorority for a Better Future
Membership Divisions
1. Active Membership
Fully initiated, dues-paying members who participate regularly in meetings, events, and programs. Must stay in good financial standing.
Members missing dues for 90 days become inactive and must apply for reinstatement.
2. Inactive Membership
Members in poor financial standing or on an approved break. Cannot vote, hold office, or publicly represent the sorority.
Reactivation requires a form and all dues paid in full.
3. Honorary Membership
Awarded to distinguished women exemplifying leadership and values of LUX.
Granted by the Four Founders and/or National Board; no intake required.
4. Alumni Membership
Former active members who have completed service but stay involved through mentorship or events.
5. Youth Membership (Legacy Lilies)
Girls ages 5–17 guided by sorors in leadership, service, and sisterhood through the youth division.
6. Dismissed Membership
Members removed for violations such as bullying, financial misconduct, or criminal activity.
Dismissed members are ineligible to rejoin unless approved by the Four Founders and National Board.
Membership Expectations
Attend monthly meetings (in-person or virtual)
Participate in service initiatives and sorority events
Represent the sorority with professionalism and pride
Uphold the values, mission, and image of Lambda Upsilon Xi
Maintain good financial standing
10 community service hours per quarter
Rights and Responsibilities of Members
Membership is a privilege built on mutual respect, active contribution, and a shared commitment to legacy.
Member Rights
All active members of Lambda Upsilon Xi Sorority, Inc. are entitled to:
- Participate in national and chapter-level meetings, programs, and events
- Vote in chapter and national elections (if in good standing)
- Hold leadership positions (if eligible and approved)
- Represent the organization publicly
- Receive mentorship, professional development, and sisterhood support
- Propose new initiatives, programs, or amendments through the proper channels
- Access official sorority materials, resources, and records
- Be treated with respect, dignity, and fairness

Monthly Membership Dues
- $25
- Collected monthly to support chapter-level, classes and national initiatives
- Must be paid on time to maintain active member status
Members who fail to make monthly payments for 90 consecutive days will be moved to Inactive Status & may lose voting rights
