About Lux Sorority
Membership Eligibility
Adult Membership (Ages 25+)
- Must be 25 years of age or older
- Must align with the mission, vision, and values of the sorority
- Must complete the intake and initiation process
Youth Membership (Ages 5–17)
- Must maintain a C average or better in school
- Must have parent/guardian consent
- Must participate respectfully and consistently

Lambda Upsilon Xi Sorority, Inc. is a women-led, women-centered organization open to all individuals who identify as women and support its mission of elegance, empowerment, and excellence.
Background Checks
All applicants seeking leadership roles or involvement with youth may be required to undergo a confidential background check. This helps protect members and the integrity of the organization.
Application Process
Prospective members of Lambda Upsilon Xi Sorority, Inc. must complete an application process designed to ensure alignment with the sorority’s values, mission, and standards. The process includes a detailed questionnaire, supporting documentation, and a background check.
Steps to Apply:
Information Questionnaire
- Complete the Sorority Member Information Questionnaire, which collects personal details, academic or professional background, and interests in the sorority.
Supporting Documents
Applicants must submit one of the following
- Referral by a Founder or Chapter President: A written recommendation indicating the applicant’s potential to contribute to the sorority’s legacy.
- Letter of Recommendation of Character: A letter attesting to the applicant’s personal qualities and alignment with the sorority’s values.
- Resume: A current resume outlining academic, professional, and extracurricular achievements.
Headshot Photo
- Submit one recent headshot photo for identification and record purposes.
Background Check
- All applicants must undergo a confidential background check as part of the evaluation process to ensure safety and integrity within the organization.
Application Fee
- A non-refundable fee of $40 is required to process the application.

Becoming a Glamour Girl begins with commitment, character, and class.
The initiation process of Lambda Upsilon Xi Sorority, Inc. is designed to formally welcome, educate, and affirm new members into the sisterhood. Only those who have successfully completed the application process and have been officially approved will proceed to initiation.
